Kim’s welding school is ready to welcome their new candidates

DURBAN South youth has been given an opportunity to better their future thanks to a Jacobs based welding school.

Kim’s Welding School has offered 25 bursaries to locals from underprivileged backgrounds who are aged between 18 and 25-years-old. The company which is affiliated to Fabricon is providing the bursaries with the aim of giving back to the community and increasing the pool of skilled labour in the field. No experience in the field is needed to qualify for the opportunity.

“Coming from the area, I have seen that there are not enough opportunities for disadvantaged people, which means the poverty cycle continues. By providing a solution to the skills shortage in the country through this programme, we are also broadening our database,” said CEO, Selwin Swartz.

Applications must be in by Friday, 10 June.

For information on how to apply, call Kim’s Welding School on 031-461-4462. Application forms are available at the school.
